Don't miss two great nights of Live JAZZ Music May 7th and 10th featuring "The CMC JaZz PROJECT" with several special guests. Selections will include a variety of styles and music from the libraries of: Maynard Ferguson, Stan Kenton, Buddy Rich, Henry Mancini, Charles Mingus, Gordon Goodwin and Oliver Nelson. There will also be some Vocal Jazz and a special performance of an original work created for the Band by local arranger Bill Murphy.
Performances will be held at 6:30 pm on Friday May 7th at Valley Fellowship Church, 608 S. San Juan, Buena Vista and again at 6:30 pm on Monday May 10th at the Salida Steam Plant Theater, 220 W.Sackett Ave, Salida. There will be a special guest performance at Friday evening's concert by The Buena Vista High School Jazz Band under the direction of John Topfer and Monday's concert will feature special guest artist - Drummer Dick Cunico. For over 40 years Dick has been a performer and recording artist with many Jazz Greats and is an active composer and arranger for Movies, Radio and Television. Concerts are Free and open to all. Don't miss out on two special nights of music.
